Due to the nature of AI image generation, sometimes the results might not be exactly what you envisioned. Fortunately, we have tools available to adjust these images and refine any minor details. For this task, we will use the Canvas Editor and the Inpaint tool.
Follow this guide and feel free to experiment and discover new possibilities. If you have more questions, feel free to join our Discord server for additional assistance with images.
Step #1: Click on “Canvas Editor” in the left toolbar.
Step #2: Use the “Picture” button to upload your image from your computer, previous generations, or public pictures from the community.
For this example, we will use a picture from a Discord user and co-author of this guide, Siloa. The picture is of good quality, but the character appears to have extra fingers.
Let’s fix that!
Step #3: Use the “Select” tool to ensure the generation area covers the section you wish to correct. This will provide Leonardo with the appropriate context for the image generation to be performed.
Step #4: Use the “Mask” tool to draw over the detail you want to fix.
Step #5: On the right toolbar, select a model (most users prefer Dreamshaper v7 for artistic images and Absolute Reality for photographic images) and ensure the “Canvas Mode” is set to “Inpaint/Outpaint”.
Step #6: Enter a short prompt briefly describing what you would like to see and press “Generate”.
You will be presented with different choices and results.
Cycle through them and press “Accept” when you find one you like, or “Cancel” to generate a new set.
Once, you’ve picked the final image, click “accept” and you are done!
This is an example of the final result:
