The Canvas Editor is a powerful, integral tool within the Leonardo.Ai platform, designed to offer precise control over image modifications, including clothing and style alterations. Despite its robust capabilities, the editor is surprisingly user-friendly.
In this example, we’ll demonstrate how to change the colour of a garment using the Canvas Editor.
Step-by-Step Guide:
- Accessing the Canvas Editor:
Navigate to the Canvas Editor by selecting it from the left-hand navigation bar on the Leonardo.Ai platform.
- Enabling Focus Mode:
For enhanced precision, ensure you are in “Focus Mode” by checking the top-right corner of the interface. If it displays “Infinite Mode,” simply click to switch to “Focus Mode,” which will unlock additional tools.
- Selecting an Image:
Use the “Upload Image” button on the left toolbar to choose the image you wish to edit. You can upload an image from your computer or select one from your recent creations.
- Adjusting the Selection Box:
Ensure the purple selection box covers the garment you intend to modify. You can adjust the size of the selection box using the “Image Dimensions” settings on the right-hand side.
- Using the Sketch Tool:
To guide the colour change, select the “Sketch Tool.”
- Choosing colors:
Choose your desired colour from the dropdown menu at the top and adjust the transparency slider to keep the garment’s folds and details visible.
- Applying the colour:
Roughly paint over the area where you want to change the colour. Precision isn’t necessary at this stage.
- Configuring Canvas Mode:
In the settings on the right, ensure that “Canvas Mode” is set to “Inpaint/Outpaint,” with the “Outpaint” toggle turned off. This will enable the “Inpaint Strength” slider, allowing you to maintain more of the original image details if needed.
- Choosing a Finetuned Model:
At the top-right corner, select a “Finetuned Model.” For artistic enhancements, many users prefer “Dreamshaper 7,” while “Absolute Reality” is ideal for realistic images.
- Generating and Selecting Variations:
Use a concise, precise prompt and click “Generate.”
You will be presented with several variations. You can cycle through them, “Accept” your preferred version, or cancel and generate new variations.
- Saving Your Work:
Once satisfied with the result, you can either edit another piece of clothing or download the final image using the “Download Artwork” button on the left toolbar.
- Creating Style Variations:
By following these steps, you can easily create multiple style variations from the same image, experimenting with different colours, transparencies, and even patterns.
